THE MAN IN RED TIE
Ballet / Prologue / 6 scenes

Prologo:
An “Art dealer”, a picture collector, a wicked and obscure man forces a “Painter” to finish a picture to exhibit it in his Art Gallery.
The “Painter” goes through a crisis and asks him time to finish the painting but the “Art dealer” refuses.
Finally the “Painter” makes a great effort working himself into the ground and finishes the picture. Then he dies and the “Art dealer” holds him in his arms.

First Scene
The “Art dealer” is welcoming visitors and showing them pictures in the exhibition room. A “Woman” among them calls his attention. People go from one place to the other watching pictures. They stop in front of the “Painter’s” last artistic creation which stands out. It is the picture of “The man in the red tie”, it is an image full of energy. The picture captivates the “Woman” and before leaving she feels she is watched for an instant by the strange little man. Nobody notices it except the “Art dealer”.

Second Scene
The “Woman” is in her bedroom. She remembers the picture and lies on the bed. Then she has a nightmare, several images become alive and she herself too. They all look for “The man in red tie”.
Finally she refuses all the images except “The man in the red tie” and suddenly throws herself into his arms.
He is none other than the “Painter”, embodied in his own work. She has a passionate encounter till “The man in the red tie” disappeares and the nightmare finishes. The “Woman” is devastated and wakes up crying.

Third Scene
The “Art Dealer” knows for certain the “Woman” will visit him. He gets ready the place to welcome her. She arrives with the purpose to buy the picture but the “Art Dealer” tries to convince her wickedly of buying other pictures. She insists on buying “The man in the red tie” but he doesn’t accept to sell it and says to her goodbye violently.

Forth Scene
The “Woman” is in her bedroom, she is dreaming again. The images of the picture return but now are inside the room. “The man in the red tie” is among them He undresses, goes her bed and makes love to her sweetly. Then he vanishes between the sheets.


Fifth Scene
The “Woman” is looking for her obsession among people desperately in the city streets. She meets the “Art Dealer” in her searching. He shows her the way to his Art Gallery.

Sixth picture
The “Art Dealer” brings the “Woman” and “The man in the red tie” face to face. The image emerges from the picture and they spend the last passionate encounter and seal their fate.
They are both perpetuated in the picture and “Art Dealer” has a new character for his collection.
